When you print a photo, normally you will come accross two format problems:
One the photo maybe cropped, or
Two you may be left with unwanted white space as borders
In Photoshop you can control how a photo is formatted by creating the “Canvas Size” for your photo, and copying your photo into the blank canvas.
This photo did not work cropped, too much of the photo would be lost; so in this example a new 8" x 10" blank canvas was created. Then the photo was copied into the blank canvas, and a background of the original photo was made to fit the frame by warping and filtering to match with the original.
Therefore, we were able to eliminate the white space, and not crop the original photo.
